Is there a way to use favourites without having an account for the end user ?

no its impossible .... how to store favorite without account ?

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

I thaught there might be something like for the cart in e-commerce.... But thanks anyway !

Hello

adding favourites support is about 1-2 hours of work and testing

- if user is not logged we SET and READ a browser cookie

but then you get a little more work, if this user registers then we need to copy the cookie into the DB table for favourites
- which is 1-2 more hours of work and testing

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

It was for a website without login. But don't worry, if it is not usefull to other people, I can live without it !

Actually

because a good percentage of wesites that would need favourites,
would find this useful,
- people would like to be able to favour items without registering

so adding this will increase the chances of FLEXIcontent "favourites" feature being used:

github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexicontent-cck/issues/653
