Hi there

I'm attempting to convert a Joomla 1.5 site to 3.3 using the latest version of Flexicontent.

In my original custom flexicontent template I used the following code in the item.php file to display a specific field:
<?php echo $this->fields->display; ?>
However, when I use this in the new template it won't display.

I've tried the following:
1. Changing 'location' to 'title' and the title displays fine.
2. Checking that the field 'location' has been successful imported, that the name is still 'location' and that the sample item has its location entered.

I would be grateful if you could help me pinpoint what I'm doing wrong.

Many thanks, Emily

in flexi 2 if you want to call field in php without position you need to put your field in render only position of your template (for better performance flexicontent don't load all field only field in position)

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello

you need to add the field to the "renderonly" position

but for adding the above position, please read this FAQ article:

Thank you so much! I added the renderonly position and added the location field to it ... and it worked!

Thanks for your help with this, it's very much appreciated.

Cheers, Emily
