Hello

the category module was added because Joomla module was not appropriate for FLEXIcontent needs because of (mainly) 2 needs
- to support multi-category assignments, and make proper item counting
- to create FLEXIcontent category links instead of Joomla category links

there are always things to do to improve them module,
- this feature request can be accepted for future work, you may submit an issue here:
github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexicontent-cck/issues

it will be marked as enhancement and given a future milestone (aka accepted)
