Textarea field can not be used as individual filter in category view (can be used only in search)

yes but this is not working for content list, only for advanced search. I cannot use this field as filter for a category.

not in the "textarea" field

you mean that there is no filter for "textarea" field in category views ?

so we could really prefer to do this in priority over other work

you're right, this is not commonly used, but maybe one of the reason is that this cannot be used at all, so nobody ask for it
This is something I already requested via this forum again and again, I presume for 1 year more or less. So I hope that this could be sorted it out soon as this is already working for text field.
