MYCAT, MYNEWS and overlayed option was created by tadzio

I thank too wonderful component. I am your fan from 2011.
I would like to include overwriting of the title in a photo with the help mycat or mynews.
Overwriting is working for the template carousel and for tamplay mycat, mynews not working or I am doing something bad.
next.norwegofil.pl/ on top carousel (ok) right said mycat (under Oslo weather).

why have you not updated Jooma ?

Now is 3.4.5 and the problem remained.

Now is 3.4.5 and the problem remained.

Joomla 3.4.5 fixes an important frontend security issue, it is not related to your question,

About your question
- parameters like "overlayed" etc are template specific, and built-in "news" , "carousel" get updates in their HTML and CSS
- if you have an older copy of the templates the behaviour can be different
