first please backup e.g. with Akeeba Backup , that you already have installed

and update

Joomla to J3.6.4
and
FLEXIcontent to v3.1.1

I've done a backup (of course).

I've upgrade Joomla to 3.6.4.

But my Flexi upgrade to 3.1.1 failed, for some reason.
I'll let you know when I manage.

You can not upgrade any extension,
- because your TMP folder (and LOGS) is wrong

Joomla does always not use properly, the variable:
open_basedir


After i have set them manually , joomla installer and updating works again

- maybe website was on a different server or the server software was upgraded ? thus the logs and tmp variables had old values that did not consider the new setting of the variable "open_basedir" ?

Because after initial setup of the logs, tmp variables
i think Joomla will not update them ? (i am not sure)

Exact. At the beginning (several month ago) I created my website locally (localhost), and "tmp" and "logs" were the right paths. Then I migrated to RaidGHost, but these parameters never were modified. And it seems Joomla didn't update them.

For the same reason maybe (?), I could not upgrade Joomla with the interface. I had to put the zip file at my site, then launch a PHP script to unzip it. I'll check next time (next Joomla version) if now it can be installed in the interface.

Now I can see the initial issue of this topic (fake links in RSS page) is solved. Thanks again!
