with v3.2.0.1
there is no configuration in the system plugin

-- if it is not working then it is a FLEXIContent bug , because this is an implemented feature

it should be working according to types manager configuration

Please do this
to verify that it is working as intended

Please send me a PM with
- frontend page (its URL) that contains such links in a 3rd party module (so that i can view the page that contains these links)
- also give me 2 or 3 URLs that appear in the module (so can see their ID and find their FLEXIcontent item type)
- also give me backend access

finally i will send you a PM with my skype contact, you can send me an add contact request
and i will add you temporarily in my skype contacts
