In r1141, fixed saving of items order in backend items manager tab.

In r1142 fixed issue 351, category view does not detect if at least one variable exists in the URL, causing issues with alpha-index, filters and search word , e.g. as Arkadiy mentioned with frontpage and alpha-index

Any further progress?

Perhaps its getting frustrating with Joomla 2.5 being out now and having to rework it for that instead of 1.6/1.7.

I have no idea myself but ggppdk has been sick (he wrote this a couple of times). Because he is not answering questions a lot lately, I believe that he is currently working on the next release.

anyone got the "order by custom field" working?

Im having big problems ordering my items in the category view. The ordering in the joomla admin doesn't work and i cant get this new cool feature "order by custom field" working. Im running the latest nightly.

Any ideas?

about progress, i have been sick for a week now but last couple of days (weekend) ...

i have fixed ACL of v2.0 frontend (100%) and backend(95%, i need to check if i missed anything, especially item management in backend).

This includes
- proper USE of view Access level in frontend (and backend) (all views),
- proper checking of creation/edit/edit.own/edit.state/delete, also i have added a new ACTION called delete.own ACTION , and in future we can add more with proper heritage
- fixed heritage from component configuration (to propagate to root category and down the category tree)
- fixed category tree creation
- category management tab now uses user ACCESS level and user ACTION permissions properly (create/delete/edit/order)
- organized the component permissions in groups to be easier to configure

Also some improvements e.g.
1. item hits will now use SESSION instead of DB table
2. submitting of notification of revised item ONCE PER user session , even if he/she saves multiple times.
3. Some also since last version we have (before i got sick improvements like images in feeds, i will try to make changelog)
4. Full support for primary/secondaries categories in frontend, with permission checking (multicat user permission)

ALSO fixed various reported bugs for v2.0, will commit today of whatever i have.

AFTER ACL, some fixes for searching and final version is done.
