Hi,

Is it possible to include the content of an article in another article? I guess you could use something like
Code:
{loadposition article}
, but that would require creating a module for each article I want to include in another article.

hello
simply
use flexi-field to load module
use in good position
use universal module of flexicontent to load your article
regards

Hi, thanks for the answer! I do have a couple of questions.

Do I create a new flexifield — and how do I define the position. I'm not entirely sure how to use the universal module — do I make a copy of it for each article I want to include?

Okay, I think I've figured some of it out.

I've created a duplicate of the universal content module, and set the scope to the specific article. Then I've created a 'Load module' field called load_module and assigned it to my item type. However, the field doesn't show up there.

I'm not sure I follow you — should I add the module in a file or is it a setting in FlexiContent?

In Flexicontent we call articles as items since we can have many types of content.

ok, now about what you asked, you want inside an item 'A' to display an item 'B'.

What micker suggested is this:
(DO NOT DO this method in FLEXIcontent versions prior to v1.5.6)
1. create a new Universal FLEXIcontent module 'M', and set it to show item 'B' (or anything else you want)
2. edit the module 'M' to be displayed in a non-existing position e.g. just write in position parameter the word 'nowhere' and click save
3. create a new FLEXIcontent field 'F' of Type 'Load Module', and set it to display this module 'M'
4. goto template manager and click to edit the 'Item Layout' of the template that the item 'A' uses, place the new field 'F' in any position

You are done.

But BE WARE,
-- If you assign field 'F' to item 'B' e.g. if item 'B' is same type as item 'A',
then DO NOT do any of these 2 things:[/b]

a. do not set global option Performance parameter 'Always create field html' to anything different than 'only when needed'
b. do not add field 'F' to the fields that the module 'M' displays

if you do (a) or (b) or both , then you will get an infite loop and your page will never be created

Maybe i will put code in the Universal module to detect this case and avoid the loop.

Regards

Thanks, works (almost) perfectly. The only issue is, that it just shows a list with only one item, which is a link to the item I want to include.

How can I make it show the entire content of the item, maybe even with the title wrapped in a h3 element?
