Great, thank you so much!

Not being able to choose number of characters will not be a problem for me, I need it to show the entire article :)

I have another question — when I use the mod_flexicontent module to display news it links to the news item in a weird way. You mentioned the lines of code that strip the HTML tags, and I've tried changing them. But for some reason, the HTML tags are still stripped from the item that's being linked to.

Have added this option to the FLEXIcontent Universal in revision r949 (the option not strip tags and cut text).

Also i have cleaned up the css FILE for the 'news' template and also improved the styling of it, so that it now more easy and comprehensive to style up the 'news' template and added a new option for standard items to be displayed in 2 columns (for news template)

Get this build here:
code.google.com/p/flexicontent/downloads/list

Be careful not to confuse options of standard and featured items.

If you set module to display 6 items of which 2 are featured, then the first 2 will be featured and the next 4 standard.

Both versions have these enhancements, but v2.0 still has a couple of important issues to be resolved.

Okay — so when do you think the next beta of 2.0 will be released?

Next beta of v2.0 will have fixed the ACL inheritage and as a result of this, the frontend/backend editing (with and without version) too (now it works OK only if you are administrator).

I guess within next week or earlier.

Wow, sounds really good! I have turned front end editing off for now as every time someone would click the Edit button it wouldn't save but still lock the item so no one else could edit it.
