At the end you have to decide whether you use FlexiContent or not. As a final result it replaces the Joomla content. Why?

- In the long run all menu items or category views have to be changed to FC items and views because for example ordering of normal Joomla category views is not possible.
- Of course you are able to uninstall FC and all the com_content fields are still there, but custom fields and multicategory assignments are gone.

There is much more, all I want to say, if you want to mix Joomla content with, for example a directory or so go for a stand alone extension like Zoo or Sobi. Here you are able to use "normal" Joomla articles with normal menu views and mix it with a directory or whatever you want to build with the CCK.

PS: On my old site for example, I used normal Joomla together with Zoo. I was able to use the normal com_content for 95% of the page. Zoo was only used for our customer references because I needed to assign items to more than one category. For the new page I changed to FlexiContent mainyl because I need the multicategory feature for all my content!

Joomla! 3.9.24 and FC 3.3.9

thanks Rooney ;)

i must add that 99% of the time you would not need to use com_content to display your content (at least for new sites)

Note that FLEXIcontent can have multiple featured flags (via multiple featured categories)
as many as you like
e.g "Best Value" , "Recommend", "Top Sideshow"

read here how:

Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
