phpthumb new version was added in v1.5.6 RC?

did you have an old v1.5.6 or v1.5.4/v1.5.5, before installing RC8?

i just said that recent version of FLEXIcontent have PHPthumb upgraded to v1.7.11 that uses this function

Yes i have upgraded FLEXIcontent to r1485, to fix the issues you described, and also v1.7.11 phpthumb closes a couple of security issues compared to v1.7.9
