The Joomla menu item selecting articles has no knowledge of FLEXIcontent, thus it will list all joomla articles.

Furthermore in J2.5 all articles are made FLEXIcontent items and not only some of them

Hi,
So is that possible to create 2 entry menus in Joomla Admin to "pre-filter" the view ?
The goal is to help some "non professionnal admin" to view the part they have to manage : if one of these person view the complete list of all the website, they have therefore a lot of difficulty to understand the list...

I know : they can filter by themselves, but the idea is to help them (you know, for some persons, one click on one button is incredibly complicate...See what i mean i think... :)

Thanks for the time you spend on my question :)

We have author management tab (and there will be a user group management tab, in next version)

there the administrator can add limitations for the author/user, so there is potential in adding customizations per user (and in future per usergroup)

anyway currently what you ask is not available,

what kind of pre-filter would be applied , what is the part "they can manage"

Hi,
thanks for your response : i'll see in the "next" version with group management. If we can give for example a category or a type restricted to a particular group, it will be the solution.

Thanks again for the time you spend here :)

Limiting categories to user/user groups is done by ACL permissions:

create
edit
edit.own
edit.state
edit.state.own
delete
delete.own

For limit types to users/user groups this make sense and can be added a new "create" ACL permission to Type edit form
