as explained above the alphabetical order for categories is done inside SQL query for default language,
which create issue with translation looking not ordered

Well, you really should consider to migrate to Joomla 3.1 and use the native translation system. Joomla 1.5 not longer supported and it is only a matter of time until it will have security issues. If not the core system then components. The development of Joomfish for example, as you might know, is more or less dead. So, who will fix security issues for an old Joomla 1.5 version of it?
