Aaah, you mean install it in 1.5. first, then do the joomfish import, and then upgrade?

But won't jupgrade completely remove flexicontent?

Hm, wait.

I've installed Flexicontent in j1.5 now but I don't see the translate option anywhere in this version. There's no such button on top of the page with the items list.

Furthermore, when I select to import all data to flexicontent, I get errors:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/...path.../administrator/components/com_flexicontent/models/items.php on line 2236

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/...path.../administrator/components/com_flexicontent/models/items.php on line 2236

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/...path.../administrator/components/com_flexicontent/models/items.php on line 2236

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/...path.../administrator/components/com_flexicontent/models/items.php on line 2236

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/...path.../administrator/components/com_flexicontent/models/items.php on line 2236

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/...path.../administrator/components/com_flexicontent/models/items.php on line 2236
The following Joomla! com_content's data were successfully imported:
• 8 sections
• 35 categories
• 1004 articles
There were no errors during the process

( the bit with "...path..." is my edit just for posting )

Hello,

you can ignore that warning

... but i thought you had already installed FC in J1.5 version

-- you see after importing data in J1.5 version, you create items with new IDs but Joomfish data has assigned its translation to the original article IDs

if you already had a site with FLEXIcontent then Joomfish import would work in the J1.5 version (i know we could enhance our import in J1.5 version to include joomfish data, but this is not available now)

-- For SAME reason the joomfish data are not imported in J2.5 , the item(article) IDs have changed (Jupgrade changes the article IDs)

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Ah, I see. Then that's not going to work as I expected at all. :(
Thanks for the clarification!

Hello,

what about using SP-Upgrade ? (i know it is commercial but it maintains IDs)

so after you upgrade with SP-Upgrade,
if joomfish import does not work,

then put your site online (of course with the copied joomfish DB tables in it and with correct prefix!!)
then send me a PM and i will log to test ...

(most likely it will work, just have not tested it)

Regards

I'm not sure I understood what you mean.
SP upgrade is something like JUpgrade, except commercial?

Where does flexicontent come in all that?
