This should not be difficult

About galleries:
1. Both Galleries look great

2. they are responsive to width

3. we implemented multiple instances per page (useful we have 2 gallery fields in item view, or to display these in category view)

4. Allow using descriptions ...

5. The thumbnail width of "small" size can be used ...

-- in a future version,
while selecting gallery we can allow setting some Gallery specific parameters (e.g. use preview or not)

-- the bad is that the configuration of image field looks a little intimidating, nevertheless the parameters are structured well ... changes some descriptions too ...

note that the templates CSS was updated to make responsive width of the elastislide gallery (the version you suggested last)

also checkout out:

a. handle properly the submission by guests
b. captcha and more configurable/better messaging
c. better workflow: allow user to select content type according to ACL create permission and then after saving , he is asked to save rest of data)

(please configure in component configuration, turn everything on to see the effect ... but YOU need the updated templates ...)

- support for mobile-specific layouts (enable in component configuration, we load the library that you suggested also the image field uses it)
(you can use a different FC item/category layout if mobile is detected)

- smart search plugin for FLEXIcontent (handles FLEXIcontent item state and category/type access levels correctly ...), support for custom fields will be done in a future version

- Featured categories (configure in Component configuration) easy editing in item form is little work and will be added, now you have to select together with other categories

- various other fixes and minor additions,
e.g. voting field configurable stars and half/quarter star voting and voting access control via access level, also a new Article pagination for multi-paged articles (pagination via TOC without reload)
