Hello,

we are rebuilding our website and changed the template and the menu structur plus we are using flexicontent. After I installed flexicontent I notice that some Links in mainmenue ending in a 404 error and other are fine. I checked the Joomla Seo and when I disable it everything works fine. But, with SEO enabled the URL path of some Links have a extra /part/ that wasn't there before and I am wondering where it comes from?

Any Idea what it could be or how I can find the error? Could it be the reordering of the menus or could be flexicontent?

Thank you very mutch for your ideas and help
best regards
J

Hello

are you using J2.5 or J3.1?

the MENU ITEMs are
- existing com_content (Joomla article) links
- or they are FLEXIcontent single item links

can you give more information ?

We are using Joomla 2.5 and some of the articles are from com_content and are imported into flexicontent when I installed the flexicontent component. But, I remember that that I had problems with it.

Some articles work with or without flexicontent and some end in a 404 error

Also the hwdmediashare links also not working if they are in a submenu. Virtuemart links work fine.

Hello

the hwdmediashare links should not be effected by FLEXIcontent, but i ll check this

please send me a PM with
- super admin access
- copy past some full URLS of the menu items giving 404: http://...
- for each above frontend links, give me:
the menu name (so that i know in backend in which menu to find them ),
and their menu item ID

Regards

Hello,

you have noticed that this is happening for various components

this is language, related and it needs some digging to find why it happening

-- if i edit the links that you sent me and replace:
/de/
with
/en/

then the links work, this is strange because the menu items are set to language "ALL" so they should work with all languages

hello, thank you for your help. I tried to edit the en and de but couldn't see a differnece so I set the language plugin to hide the de and en also no changes.

I notice that when I edit and save a existent com_content article after reopening the article it ends also in 404... any idea what I can try to get it solved?
