I was thinking of your older posts,
i (kind of) hoped that you had some information to give

anyway i will try to replicate locally (if i can replicate locally then i can test much more easily)

the weird is this a menu item is accepted if:
- it has current active language OR it has languages "ALL", so why these menus that have language "ALL" give an error 404 !! ??

another step:

when I disable the automatic switch language in the language filter plugin it works.
sofar almost every menu is working now, exept of one...I can do what ever...still 404

it was a joomla article menu item and I tried a flexicontent article item now but still 404...I found something that is also strange I wanted to filter the categories in the menu item selection but had no categries to choose from...please see the attached screenshot

ok, I think I found the problem with the last 404 error... we have a tab plugin that causes the error.

when I delete the tab code it works

It only happens if the menu item is second level or more. If it is root level language all won't give an error!
Actually, I just tested it in J3.1.5. Same!

maybe so menu item in an above level is of different language, right ??
