Falang parameter setting in multilingual site

Hello

the language switch changes between 2 or more associated items, it does not change between Falang translations

-- to use falang translations:
1. disable language filtering in FLEXIcontent component configuration for both category views and tags views

2. edit your items and make sure that they have a translation and then switch language in frontend

-- you cannot use falang translations and item associations (of translations) at the same time,

- because in order to use falang translations you must disable language filtering of the views,

- otherwise the items will be hidden as soon as you change language (e.g. if you items are "French" and you do not disable language filtering then the items will be listed only when frontend language is French)

Regards

Hello

this setting is for using FALANG for tranlating items !

- you are not supposed to associate items if you translate items with FALANG

you either
a. translate item with FALANG (please activate edit inside the item form)

or

b. you associate items of different languages that translate the same original content

maybe i have misunderstood you but is the above clear ?

Hi

following your recommandation I don't want to translate item with falang that mean I"m in case b.

My Falange config in FC is correct ?

b. you associate items of different languages that translate the same original content

on my test (live site) I did it but seems not working because I see both articles in the same language

take care

Hello

if you don't translate the items with Falang but you want to use Falang with other parts of your website, then

go to Falang management and delete existing item translatons (you may want to copy them first)
