FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hi micker,

I had found that one. And was reading on it.
But i do not want to use a 3rd party extension to manage translation. Especially with a site that has over 3,000 articles and counting for performance reason.

i'll ask anythingdigital support, but from what i understand, by moving to josetta, joomfish translation is actually imported as regular content in com_content. Which then, should be easy to import in FC.
Given that the translation mapping is kept.

what do you think about that process? I'm asking just in case you've done or seen such migration.

thanks again.

i didn't do it but
1 use joseta to convert joomfish to native j3
2 use flexicontent to assigne your translation

And i'd rather wait and see a kick ass release than a one full of bugs and problem.

I must say that when it comes to building site with more elaborated requirements and/or very specific template/output, FC is by far my chosen solution and go-to extension.

And i think the real challenge for the FC team is not to fall into what i can "over powerful extension" that have way too much settings and options. Keeping it powerful while easy to use. And so far ggppdk and others devs here have done a great job.

Anyways, thanks for the help. And long live FlexiContent ! lol

Cheers
