never uninstall !
it deletes the FLEXIcontent DB tables (fields, types, field values, etc), (it will not delete article or categories since these are Joomla data)
to upgrade install the new version over the previous one,
if you had almost no FC data, then it was OK to uninstall
also in some pages (e.g. item form, or backend items manager) you may have to do a hard refresh
- just once (CTRL-F5 for windows) to load latest JS/CSS
