Menu with categories - How to change parameters in category view

Hi
I have similar problem.
I have a type of item, a template associate to it and a category.
When overide template category parameter doesn't work. I need to use parameters in category to force it.
I think I have misconfiguration or a bug
Have you a workaround to overide gategory in template category so category use "global" or overide it

Solution, if you want to do this only a handful of times
- then create a new FLEXIcontent template and edit the "category" layout of it in template manager , and set the parameters there

Please don't create more than 20-40 FLEXIcontent templates, otherwise the item FORM and category FORM will slow down
- v3.0.15 will use AJAX for layouts in item/category/type form thus issue will be solved

I have already do that! I have create a template and modify the category setting... But it dont work. It only work if I override in category parameter.

yes you need to enable "Override category parameters"
- the template (category layout) selection parameter is a category parameter

so enable "Override category parameters"
- let all parameters be "Use global"
- and only change the template (category layout) selection parameter

- override order of category parameters is:

1. COMPONENT (And Template manager for the layout parameters)
2. Parent categories
3. Current category
4. Menu item (if "override" is enabled) (THIS step does not have "layout" parameters only layout =(template name) selection)

so for a specific parameter the order to check if it is applied is the above
