[SOLVED] How to only list items needing approval in frontend

hi there,

i'm a little confused: i'm missing an 'approve'-button somewhere.

details:
1) my non-publisher frontend-edits his item, gets notice about "your new version of the document must be reviewed and approved by an administrator before it becomes the ACTIVE version". this is what i want.
2) my admin gets an email with links to FE-view and FE-edit. but he can see no approve-button anywhere and thus can not turn the pending item-version into the active one.

wat do i have to configure to show the approve-button? did i maybe hide it in my template?

no you need to access to item and change state

in case others need this, too:
i created a menu link visible to FE-admins: type FC-category > override params > filters > do not display filters > initial filters: "10::PE".
This shows only items with pending state (field #10 is corefield "state", PE is "pending")
