search by date within a range of two date fields

Sorry, but i still think, we are not talking about the same thing.
I have 2 date fields, not only one: start and end date of an event.
And the user should enter one date (not a range) in the search mask.
And the result should be all items with the search date inbetween the two date fields.

I know the option you described, but I think, this does not help here.

for now you can't ... maybe with sql rules .. but need georgios for this

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Ok, that would be great if you have a solution for that.
I also found other topics in the forum with similar requirements.
So that would help perhaps a lot of users.

I'm waiting for your answer.
Thanks for your fast support!

Hi

you should be able to it like this (try the following)

1. you set both to be date ranges
2. then use CSS to hide upper limit for date field A and down limit for date field B
