Initial permission error

Initial permission error was created by Rooney

For some time I am stuck with an intital permission error. Updating gives (debug enabled) the following error

hello, please, Send me a PM with admin access, to review this, (i delete PM with admin login after some time)

it could because of a previous buggy FLEXIcontent version or because of an inconsistency in DB that we have not anticipated/think of

also include URL of your site, of course

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.

I am just sending you a PM. It is a different page www.servoflo.com . The error appeared two or three releases ago, but I could still edit categories and items. The latest FC update does not longer allow me to do that!

I sent you a PM a couple of days ago. Have you had any chance to look into this? At the moment I am not able to edit items and categories due to the initial permission error.

Just an update. After going back to FC 1420 clicking "Initial Permission" works and I am able to edit item again...

Ok, problem is because the copy item Task button is incomplete for J2.5 and does not create Permission asset when copying an existing item, plus there is a bug with creating the asset after than

This is one of 2 bugs i thought of lesser importance and did not fix, i will do ASAP

I found problem with initial permission creation and fixed it in your site too,

-- the checking of initial permissions wrongly decided that there was a problem with category Permission assets.

thanks for reporting this one:

About items Copy Task, it will not create the permission asset, (i will fix this too ASAP) BUT you can use it because it will get created when you edit/save the item or when you click the initial permission update task in the FLEXIcontent Dashboard

Hi, after you fixed the assets I am able to create com_content items. Mean is I go to items I am not forwarded to FlexiContent anymore. This is kind of bad because I always have to bind articles that other authors created to FC again!
