hi
may i know where to find .htaccess?
I had open all .htaccess i have but cant find php_value post_max_size

ggppdk wrote: Hello,

my question is if you get the popup (which displays the configuration options)

by your answer i guess that you the popup , but after clicking save you are asked again to open and save

The problem is (probably) that your WEB server truncates the form-posted configuration data , thus nothing is saved.

Go Joomla Backend Menu Item:
System Information / PHP information tab

Search for:
post_max_size

What is its value?
Try increasing it with an entry in your .htaccess in joomla folder:

php_value post_max_size 20000000

usually this line does not exist,

add it like this:

php_value post_max_size 20M

Hello,

then , your host prohibits changing this value via .htaccess

It should be enough anyway.

Try the other solutions i have suggested.

Last time this was reported , it was solved by changing PHP version or with a different Hosting Server

i just create a php.ini and set the line post_max_size = 20M
and run a info.php, it did set to 20M but than on joomla side is still 8M thus do u knw the common for .htaccess to execute the command from php.ini?

oh cool! i manage to solve the issue :lol:

not sure isit work for other but here is what i do.

1. I create a php.ini at root folder (public_html/php.ini)
and add this line in

post_max_size = 20M

2. Open the root .htaccess file and added this line

<IfModule mod_suphp.c>
suPHP_ConfigPath /home/username/public_html/
<Files php.ini>
order allow,deny
deny from all
</Files>
</IfModule>

Be sure to replace "username" with your actual cPanel user name.

Go back to open and save GLOBAL_CONFIGURATION. Then REFRESH. It done! :D hope the rest will be fine too

Currently using PHP Version 5.2.17

Thanks for feedback !!

Maybe the problem was solved because you added the su_php and not because of using the post_max_size since 8M should have been more than enough (unless some plugin was adding something to the form ??)
