Hello,
please give more details,

1. which FLEXIcontent version do you have?

2. You speak of category view? or item view?

3. public users ?
or owners of the items (category view) or people that can edit/publish the item (these are allowed to see it)

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Flexicontent version 2.0.0 (r1601) for Joomla 2.5

Category view & Item View

Items listed in category view even when unpublished, archived or trashed, when read more or title clicked Item View loads with error message that content is no longer published but the item is still displayed.
Not logged in when testing...so Public view.

I can PM a Super Admin login for you to test with if necessary.

update to final version and retest

While e.g. being logined in backend and you click preview anywhere, then you will be autologined in frontend for purpose of previewing !

thus if then navigate to any page you will see all the items !
