This along with groupmarker broken HTML for fieldset mode and sort ORDER by rated for FLEXIcontent module and a handful of other minor fixes will be in
v2.0.1 soon to be released

and Yes for J1.5 we will call it v2.0.x too since the number of changes since v1.5.4/v1.5.5 are just too many,

plus it is confusing to call it v1.5.6, and support till summer ?

support till summer?
this means I'll have to migrate to J 2.5 this year?
I was hoping I could wait till FC for J. 3.5 is there and skip this migration.

Mmmh... Will see if my Editors and authors will want new features.... maybe I should get used to the thought to mirgate this site. Sooner or later it will have to be done, I suppose. Do you have experience in migrating sites of that size? Will I have to re-create my flexicontent templates?

You can migrate Joomla , you can migrate FC (with netassopro fleximigrate tool) and custom templates should work with little change, about other extensions you have , these of course you must verify yourself

NOTE that upcoming FC v2.1 will have great speed advantages over v2.0 for large sites 3x-10x faster for items manager

and remember v2.0 is already optimized for frontend, but frontend category view will be 2x-4x faster too, making it faster than Joomla and any other CCK (i hope my current estimates will be correct as i have implemented optimization for backend item manager for now with as speedup of 8x or more for large sites 50,000+ articles )
