Frontpage - Field ?

insert my 50 cent.
there is one trick to simulate frontpage.
you may set frontpage option on standart joomla article manager and publish 'only frontpage items' with aida_news.
i think it have a reason to insert "fronpage" column in flexicontent items listing, cose any material have such property - so why we cant use it instead of making duplicated categories?
