Regarding showing all items in a single map in category view: yes, actually we developed a template that showed them in an interactive Google Map. We even added a search and sorting functionality on top of that.

I will contribute this as a Locations template for items and categories.

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

We could, but not yet. We developed it for a client, and we would need to re-create it in a way that is more generic and easy to install/configure for others. Plus, we need to remove many of the customizations of this project. You can check it here: www.rothmaninstitute.com/locations

You mean include them in FLEXIcontent CORE distribution? or to our Extension Section List in this website?

1. include link to your repository for latest version?
2. or also add them to our repository and thus make additions to them in regards to other FLEXIcontent functionality , you would want commit ability to commit to FLEXIcontent repository?
