Frontend Edit button not showing was created by dthomas32308

I have completed the install of FlexiContent to 1.5.3 r316, have added content(using default template), and added the content to the menu structure of the site. When I go to the frontend however the edit article icon does not show. I have gone into the template and verified the call is there for editbutton

Yep

First update your install with the latest 1.5.3a stable www.flexicontent.org/downloads/latest-version.html
Then the user your are logged with probably doesn't belong to a group who has editing permissions on the required item or it's category.
