non ce n'est pas ca du tout
le veux, en fait modifier le titre du champ, mais il n'apparait pas dans la liste des champs

I am not sure, that i understand you.

If you open the "categories" field in the Field Manager Backend TAB ... what is the LABEL of it?

Is the label of the field different than the label what is displayed in the template layout editor ?

the problem is that this field "category" is not yet displayed on the list of fields! so I can't change the description. However this field work in a template

Goto to the fields manager TAB,
does field with id 13 appear in the list?
if so open it is it the "categories" field ???

no the field 13 does't appear !in the "global order" column
It skip from 12 to 14
The 13 item is "Tags"

Something may have messed up with your fields ... this is not good ...

Go to phpmyadmin and open table jos_flexicontent_fields, is there a field with filed_type "categories" ???

if not, trying to create it manually in phpmyadmin:

In table jos_flexicontent_fields, there is a field with filed_type "categories"

So I can change the description...!
even it's not the correct manner

I don't know in witch file I have to uptdate the code you proposed to insert?

are the other fields effected ? check for data loss and try restoring from a recent backup

no other fields affected ...

... but for now I can change what I want in phpmyadmin
(ie description)and this work.

I will tried to load an older version of the base and flexicontent to look when the field disapear... if I can?

mmm, in phpmyadmin, if the categories field has id 13 then delete it and execute the SQL code:
