Thank you very much!

Your solution reduce the creation time in category view from 18 to 9 seconds, without any recognizable side effects. :D

Hello,
did you apply both modifications or only the first?

Tell me if you tried the second modification too.

The second modification will not trigger the content plugins in the item's text (=description field) when you are in category view.

For the remaining item fields content plugins will be triggered as you have specified.

On my site i have applied both as i don't need content plugins to be triggered on items text (=description field) in category view.

And i believe we definitely need to add an option, that chooses whether to trigger or not, content plugins in category view for the description field (and maybe for other big text fields).

... I apply both modifications. The first one reduce the time of my "biggest" category view from 18 to 13 seconds. The second modification from 13 to 9 seconds.

Like you, I do not need content plugins in category view.

Thank you for your help!

Glad it worked for you.
Can you provide a link too?

Regards

Still your page creation times are a little high.

Since flexicontent fields are rendered even if they are not displayed, please try to use the components/com_flexicontent/classes/flexicontent.fields.php, that i have suggested in POST:
www.flexicontent.org/forum/index.php?f=29&t=3429&rb_v=viewtopic
Note that this file doesnot include the fix :
Code:
if ($field->iscore == 1) { ... if (JRequest::getVar('view')!='category' || $field->field_type!='maintext') $results = $dispatcher->trigger('onPrepareContent', array (&$field, &$params, $limitstart)); ... }

So after using the file, please apply the above change too.

Please backup your original one, and post the results.

Regards
