Yes, precisely. The list would be defined by the category, and the users in that category would be on the list. How would I get that list to show?

mmm i don't think we have this list now,, this is rather rare.

If we had this list, we can create links to show all items of each author or all items of each author in a specific category.

To create the list is not difficult , but first must decide the most convenient way to do it ... a new view? ... a new template? ... a new template layout? ...

I think in a new menu item too that would link to category view and added some parameter?

Actually to get author list is a simple query but then we would start to think to add more ... this list is already present in the backend (v1.5.6 for J1.5) for a new FLEXIcontent view called 'users' so i am thinking ...

Yes i think the way to go is to add a new frontend view for author list. The view will have the same name as in backend it will be called 'users', yes

To add before v1.5.6 final is not too much work, but we have 20 more things that are not too much work, still be cause v1.5.6 has this backend author manager, i think to add it ... now and not in v1.5.7 ... mmm
