I have actually 320 fields on this website, 13 types, 18 templates and approximatively 7500 items and 80 categories (it's a big flexicontent project).
I can give you an access to the Joomla admin panel if you want.

question : did you put your field in render only position of your template ?

I don't use this method for many flexicontent templates because it's not convenient to sort fields like this when you have many fields and have to call them in many differents ways. (I hope we talk about the same thing )

In my template, I call all the fields in the item.php directly with this syntax : It displays the value of the field "name-of-my-field". I can put this code whenever I want in my big big big template. :lol:

you can change render field type in global config can you do this ?

I don't know where it is in global config.
Where can I find this parameter exactly ?
