Url ends in 404 error (various components)

It only happens if the menu item is second level or more. If it is root level language all won't give an error!
Actually, I just tested it in J3.1.5. Same!

and it makes sense

maybe so menu item in an above level is of different language, right ??

Hello,

yes it is ok to do this, and makes sense

but Joomla does not explain why this happened

thus it is frustrating, not knowing what went wrong !!

e.g. FLEXIcontent item view will always give a reason why an item is not available

"item is scheduled (future)"
"item has expired"
"item unpublished"
