item permissions losing special access

I'm noticing something weird happening with item permissions.

If I, as a superadmin, setup the permissions on a flexicontent item under "manage permissions" then save the document, the document maintains the correct permissions. If a coworker, who is not a superadmin and does not have the manage permissions field, goes into the item then saves it, it defaults the permissions back to the original state, thus loosing the permissions I've set.

This obviously isn't going to fly since we have content that he manages that is restricted to specific people. Is this a bug that's been fixed in a newer version (running 1.5.4stable)? I'd prefer not to allow him to manage the permissions, but if I need to do this for it to keep the permissions set, what minimum access do I need to set in flexiaccess?

hello
witch version of flexicontent and joomla ?

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

updated to 1.5.6 but it seems to have broken one of our modules... mod_easyfleximodule

Under Module Parameters we are getting:
Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, string given in /home/warnerpa/public_html/libraries/joomla/cache/handler/callback.php on line 99

and in red we are getting.
"Unable to retrieve the latest version, thank you to activate the cURL"

My assumption with this is that it's trying to auto download the newer version using curl. Do you have an offline option to fix this?

BTW, 1.5.6 did not fix the permission issue.

Looks like I already have curl support enabled...so I guess I don't know what it's thinking.

The warning is a result of some recent update to a newer PHP version, your server must have been updated lately ...

in mod_easyfleximodule/elements/versioncheck.php
replace:
Code:
$check = $cache->get(array( 'JElementVersionCheck', 'getUpdateModule'), 'module');
with
Code:
$check = $cache->get(array( 'JElementVersionCheck', 'getUpdateModule'), array('module'));

After making the above change the warning about curl should go away and version will be checked properly, if it does not go away then double check that curl is enable in php.ini and restart web server or contact your server administrator.

ALSO frontend form is broken in r1151, please apply this fix:

Thanks. Truth be told, I'm more interested in having the access issue fixed. Will this fix the issue?
