pagination with sh404sef not work

One very important thing I forgot to tell you: I am using Smart Search.
I though it didn't make any difference, but then I just found what the problem is.
There is a bug in Joomla, maybe since version 3.

So, I already submitted a bug report and proposed a PR here:
github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/6771

Nevertheless, the problem is now solved in the website I'm building through a template override.

v3.0.0 BETA6b or later (see our latest download)
www.flexicontent.org/downloads/latest-version.html

- and then clear SH404SEF URL cache once and then describe what the problem is,
SH404SEF may not work with all configuration settings,

- we will try to update plugin in good time, before we do this, give some detailed instructions,
on how to reproduce the problematic situation

OK, i change the pagination settings in the category parameters ( Item list display), for example i enter 4 in number item per page and i save

please temporarily add this at the top of your Joomla template index.php:

(if you want test without the code if(...) {...} )

login to frontend and visit the second page, what does it print any non-empty non-zero values ?
it maybe that some 3rd plugin is clearing these variables:
limitstart
start
