Is it possible to QUERY the all items from a Flexi category?

For example I have created a category called Dogs in FC and I have 3 articles:
DOG1;
DOG2;
DOG3;

Now I want to create a FC Field called "Dogs Son" and I want to show in a SELECT FIELD all the Dogs from that category.

use related field to link your field

The related items field will only display categories and the author has access (via FlexiAccess).

But i want to add one more option to this field, to limit the categories displayed manually.
