Just for exemple thé idéal is to construct custom query on each category page not for one

Yes another idea of replacement tag is item's main category aka {maincat}

I'm keeping my eye on this conversation. The project I'm working on is going to require EXTREMELY customized views, so I'd like to find all documentation or posts available regarding custom views.
