Idea is that this user wil upload much more articles by import function and will manage it. So it will grow...

We tried to recreate the effect of FLEXIaccess (J1.5) to list only editable files,

but it is very server intensive !!

-- If we cannot fix this so that it is not server intensive , then we will use the J2.5 default behavior, which list all files that the user can view in the frontend

In short user will see all items anyway and will have to filter to see a subset of them , e.g. filter by himself as author,

This change is easy to make and is needed will be in v2.0.1 as a fix

Nevertheless, i am open to suggestions ... on how to fix this

And with same user, I have an issue to let him manage files. I put permissions to :
- list
- manage
- edit / modify / delete own

but the file tab does not appear on flexicontent admin. did I miss something ?

any idea about this issue ?

Hello this is fixed in SVN, items manager for upcoming v2.0.1 has been heavily optmized not only to fix this problem but be almost irrelevant to the number of site articles !!!

e.g. my local test on a 50,000 gave a 1 sec FLEXIcontent component creation on items manager when having no filters and ordering at the same time.

r1654 is a stable version (with almost all v2.0.0 issues fixed) (r1655+ are not complete).

If your items manager is not usable (?)

no, I mean that user who should have file management tab on backend does not have.
