Hello

you suggest that the tagged items view is
- either limited to a specific type (your case right ?)
- or to a specific category

but the above is a different topic
it is not related to the tags module, right ?

or do you would suggest the above and also
- that tags module should be able to be limitted not only to category but also to the ITEM type of currently view item (this is very easy to do)

This is good idea, but it not solves issue, because different types can have same tags.

Issue - is to get items for SAME TYPE from tags module urls in tagged items view.

Yes.

1. But there is no such filtering in Tagged Items Menu settings.
2. And this filtering should be set in tags module. Something like this:

But in this case we will get duplicate URLs in site.

Another way.

If we have filtering in Tagged Items Menu settings, we can create several menu items:

And in each menu we can create limit to a specific type or category.

Then we can create several modules and assign each of them to specific menu items (like in global settings)

Honestly, I don't know. May be we have another way...

But main idea is to get tagged items view limited to a specific type or category from Tags Cloud Module Urls.

Hello

the URLs of tagged items that module produces can be filter by type by just adding the type to the URL
it is simple change to do it (add a configuration parameter to the module to enable)

The thing is that the fields manager the type field should be marked as filterable
(no need to display the filter, just mark it as filterable)

I think adding an inline note about the above need in the module configuration will be enough for people to understand that they also need to do the above

Hello

The new parameter will effect both
- the shown tags will be tags assigned to same type as currently viewed item
- the shown tags will link to Tagged Items view that will be filter by (same as above) item type

i ll add this
