Hello

Limitation to type is already implemented !

Needs only some little testing and adding parameter + language strings,
and it will be added to upcoming v3.2.1.6

Hello!
Thanks!
As I can see, you added this option: Limit to current type.
It seems you forgot the main idea - follow category (relevant post www.flexicontent.org/forum/20-general-su....html?start=10#69526 ).
So, we don't use tags module in item view.
We use tags module to displays tags from current and child categories - in category view.
So, I thinks we need to have option to set specific type.

Hello

-- the current category work in both
item view and in category-based views

in item view the category is the main category of the currently viewed item

in category we do not have an auto-selection of type, since we can have multiple types
- but i understand that you have probably limited some categories to a specific type ? (via parameters at type configuration)

Of course.

We have main parent categories (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS) which limited to a specific type.
Same method used on Real Estate sites - Type Apartments assigned to category Apartments, type Houses assigned to category Houses.

So, we should have one more parameter - limit for specific type or types.

Hello

to support limit type for a category,

we will need to load type configuration for every type
if there are e.g. 100 types then no performance impact
(1 sql query + 100 json decoding of strings = almost zero)

but if there are e.g. 500 types there maybe a small performance effect (e.g. 0.1 seconds)
but for large websites we gained more with latest optimization
