search : Advanced option button appears if not on home page

i posted here (due to mistake) the answer of different thread,

i deleted the answer and copied that answer to the other thread

However, if i switch the module parameters : Force menu item --> Default (component configuration), then it seems that component configuration isn't respected : FLEXI_AUTOCOMPLETE_TAG_LIKE, for example, isn't taken in account...

-- About text auto-complete this is not yet added/implemented to FLEXIcontent search view, but i see now that we have the parameter showing in the configuration and this causes confusion

-- also the text-search auto-complete needs to take into account at least the category filter, this for both category view and search view

MORE, and here is my major problem : The result seems to sort everything... For example, the search result of the "test" word, give as answer a category, because there is the word "test" in the description of the category. (The field "category" is not searchable, in my parameters!).

Does your search include the Categories search plugin?
(this is the "categories" search area)
this is not controlled by FLEXIcontent search view ...

And, one more (sorry) and last question : The result give all item that avec the string "test" in the result, even it is only a part of a word (e.g. : test --> attestation) ... Can you tell me where can i change that?

The search for 'test' should return results that have words that start with 'test', result ONLY having 'test' contained inside another word will not be returned,

but the highlighting will highlight the test even if it is inside another word e.g. at-test-ation, if you speak of this then yes maybe this is something to should be changed/fixed

--> Well, after control, no, i can tell you that it sorts results with 'test' included INSIDE (not at the beginning, right inside) another word. I open the item and make a search (ctrl+f) with navigator, and the only result was "attestation"... (that's true for a lot of item : If i make a search on "test" with the fc search module item, i have 10 results, with the module i have 63 results!).

the result is highlighted by FLEXIcontent search view but i think it is not produced by FLEXIcontent search plugin, do you also have the joomla content search plugin enabled ? please disable it , one more reason to disable it , is that you will get duplicate results

FLEXIcontent search view by default excludes the FLEXIcontent standard search plugin (which is mostly meant for Joomla Standard search view)

maybe we could also exclude Content plugin,
or i remember wanting to add a warning for this , asking administrator to disable it
