The Flexicontent search seems to perform the same search as the Joomla search, so that's not really a problem. However, it's critical that the non-core text fields are searched for my site.

Is there anywhere I can look in the code to see where Flexicontent is modifying the search query?

I have tested and searching inside
-- tags and
-- text fields

seems to work

did you enable searching into text fields inside the FLEXIcontent standard search plugin ?

Is the want to view in frontend
(a) published (b )not having expired date (c) having proper access level for the current user (e.g. public access)

If you have a specific example, you can send PM a test this

please include details like: i have item 518 which has the word 'olive' in a text field and i search for this word

I am lost with all those search threads. Search does not work whatever I am doing.

- Joomla 2.5.6
- FC 1420
- Search index created
- SEF enabled
- FC standard and advanced search plugins enabled
- FC advanced search module, Joomla standard search and clicking FC search menu item give the following error
Code:
Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /.../htdocs/libraries/joomla/plugin/plugin.php on line 105

You mean that the FLEXIcontent standard search plugin does not return results?

Have you sent me a PM with access to this site before, please resend?

Please give me your search scenario that shows the problem.

e.g. i search for words "word1 word2" and the items with id 457 and 946 should appear

Ok. If I am enabling only the FC standard search, I am getting results. Don't know what I did before.

I have installed FLEXIcontent version 2.1.2 r1806 beta in Joomla 3.2.1. In the search for items of different categories module or search in a category module, when I search all categories (without going into any particular category) gives the following error:
Code:
Error: 1054 - Unknown column 'fi.item_id' in 'on clause' SQL=SELECT DATE_FORMAT(i.created, "%Y") AS value, DATE_FORMAT(i.created, "%Y") AS text, COUNT(DISTINCT i.id) as found FROM fcsjb_content AS i LEFT JOIN fcsjb_flexicontent_items_ext AS ie ON fi.item_id = ie.item_id WHERE 1 AND i.id IN(1,2,3,4) AND MATCH (ie.search_index) AGAINST ('+comisaria' IN BOOLEAN MODE) AND i.created IS NOT NULL GROUP BY DATE_FORMAT(i.created, "%Y") ORDER BY DATE_FORMAT(i.created, "%Y")
